Meet Our Founder
Our Founder, Shelby Tarleton has 14 years of experience in the lash industry. She is the proud owner of Pink Lady Lash in Austin, Texas, a salon specializing in realistic lash extensions and healthy, soft application. With a passion for sharing her knowledge about lashes, Shelby opened Lash Boss University right next door to the salon. Through this program, aspiring lash artists can learn the art and science of lash extensions. She teaches majority of the classes to this day at LBU, and her excitement about teaching only continues to grow.
Shelby's commitment to sharing her expertise doesn't end there. She also provides free resources like the Lash Boss Newsletter and her award-winning podcast, Lash Boss Radio.
Shelby's 13 years of experience in the lash industry has earned her invitations to speak at various beauty conferences, judge lash championships, and now even hosts her own event, Lash Boss Summit. She recently expanded her lash empire with the Lash Boss Pro Shop and Lash Boss Retreats.
With her entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to the beauty industry, Shelby Tarleton is undoubtedly a leading voice in the lash industry.

You'll see the ins and outs of how a salon is run and get a front row seat to clientele mangement and customer experience. Pink Lady Lash has won awards both in lash artistry and business, and is one of the most successful lash salons in the country. Here at LBU, you are taught by real lash artists who work in the field every day instead of being taught by someone who learned how to teach. This is knowledge and experience you can’t get anywhere else.
Texas Lash Specialty License
Here at Lash Boss University, we are experts in lash artistry and our focus is solely on the Texas Lash Specialty License under the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
To perform lash extensions in Texas, you must hold one of 3 licenses:
Cosmetology License (1000 hours)
Esthetics License (750 hours)
Lash Specialty License (320 hours)
Choosing the Lash Specialty License will ensure you're spending 100% of your education on lash artistry and science.
